$100 Cash Boost: Last Chance for NSW Families to Claim Cost-of-Living Support

NSW families have only a few weeks left to apply for and use the Active and Creative Kids vouchers provided by the state government. These vouchers, worth $50 each, help cover the cost of sports, creative, and cultural activities for kids. They’re a great way to reduce costs while encouraging children to stay active and explore their talents.

Key Details About the Vouchers

The $50 vouchers are available twice a year and have been helping families save money on their kids’ extracurricular activities. However, the vouchers are now means-tested, making them available only to parents, guardians, or carers who receive the Family Tax Benefit. Around 600,000 kids in NSW are eligible for this $28 million per year program.

  • Voucher 1 has been available since Term 1 and must be applied for and used by December 31, 2024.
  • Voucher 2 has been available since Term 3 and must be used by July 14, 2025.
  • If you haven’t used Voucher 1, you can apply for and combine it with Voucher 2 for a total of $100, but only if used by December 31, 2024.
